Dunlee exhibits latest innovations at ECR 2019

“The CT6000 features a unipolar design that uses a water-based cooling liquid, rather than oil,” says Jerry Carlson, Technical Director for Dunlee. “This boosts cooling capacity to support high patient throughput with a very short cooling period between patients.”

Dunlee also showcased its expertise in using 3D printing to create highly complex shapes in pure tungsten. A mock-up demonstrated three applications: the creation of a CT anti-scatter grid, for which tungsten offers high stopping power; a collimation grid, in which tungsten enables a special wall structure that effectively collimates the beam; and the building of a concept part. Tungsten’s high melting point and high density make it an excellent material for extreme applications.
Dunlee customers enjoyed a special reception at ECR, as well as many opportunities to offer feedback and learn about Dunlee’s plans for the future.
