Globally, cardiovascular disease prevalence is expected to increase by 90% from 2025 to 2050, with a predicted 35.6 million deaths in 2050, up from 20.5 million in 2025. Analysis of just two countries shows that cardiovascular disease accounted for two in five deaths in China in 2021, and 30% of deaths since 1970 in the USA.

Healthcare providers looking to diagnose cardiovascular disease are increasingly turning to CT. CT angiograms (CTA) have been proven to be equivalent or superior to other imaging methods, with the added benefit of being noninvasive.
